• A U-Factor of 1.22 W/m²·K or lower, indicating a strong resistance to heat loss.
  • W/m²·K stands for: “Watts per square metre per Kelvin” and it measures the amount of heat energy, the area the energy is passing through, and the temperature between inside and outside.
  • It tells you how well a window or door prevents heat from escaping your home.
  • A lower number means better insulation, and less heat loss.
• An Energy Rating (ER) of 34 or higher, which balances solar gain, heat loss and air leakage.
  • A single number measurement that helps homeowners understand how efficient a window or door is overall. It measures the following three factors:
    • Solar Heat Gain – how much warmth from the sun comes through the window.
    • Heat Loss – how much heat escapes through the window or door.
    • Air Leakage – how much outdoor air can sneak in or out around the product.
  • A higher ER means better all-around energy performance, and ensures your home is kept warmer, quieter, and more energy efficient.
