GENERAL TERMS: EcoTech Windows & Doors guarantees that all its windows are crafted to meet or exceed industry standards. We stand behind the quality of our products, ensuring they are free from defects in materials and workmanship resulting from the manufacturing process. This lifetime warranty covers our window and door parts and components during the specified period, as long as they are used under normal conditions and maintained by the conditions outlined in this transferable lifetime warranty. Please note that no representative of EcoTech Windows & Doors has the authority to make any representations beyond what is detailed in this document.
FRAMES: We provide a LIFETIME WARRANTY for White Vinyl Frame and Vinyl Sash Members. This warranty covers defects in materials that may lead to blistering, peeling, flaking, or corroding of the frame or sash members for the entire lifespan of the product, starting from the installation date.
HARDWARE: The LIFETIME WARRANTY also extends to window hardware. However, it does not cover hardware that has been tampered with, improperly installed, abused, misused, worn out, altered, used for unintended purposes, or handled in a manner inconsistent with usage instructions. Corrosion-related damage is not covered. Any hardware or other products supplied by the customer to EcoTech Windows & Doors are not included in this warranty.
SCREENS: Punctures and tears in screens are covered for 10 days after delivery or pick-up, with parts covered. Please be aware that screens are not designed to prevent falls from windows.
INSULATED GLASS: We offer a LIFETIME WARRANTY on insulating glass units, which protects against sealed unit failure. “Failure” is defined as the loss of the seal between the glass and the edge sealant, leading to moisture buildup or the collection of dust or dirt between the inner and outer panes of glass. However, minor defects such as bubbles, eyes, crystals, and scratches are not covered. Insulated glass failure due to a manufacturing defect or thermal shock is covered for parts for one year from the invoice date. Broken glass is not covered under this warranty.
PAINTED PRODUCTS: Painted products have a LIFETIME WARRANTY, safeguarding against defects in material and workmanship that might result in paint peeling, flaking, cracking, or major non-uniform discoloration due to exposure to sunlight and heat. Damage caused by abrasive cleaners to the interior and exterior painted frames is excluded.
LIMITATIONS ON REPAIRS OR REPLACEMENT: EcoTech’s responsibility is limited to the repair or replacement of parts and the substitution of such parts with equivalent ones, as necessary and at the sole discretion of EcoTech Windows & Doors. We do not cover incidental or consequential charges, including inconvenience, damage, or injuries, or any other expenses. This warranty becomes void if the product is modified without written consent, used for unintended purposes, or manufactured outside our specifications.
WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER: This warranty does not cover damage, product failure, or poor performance due to normal wear and tear, natural weathering, variance in wood parts, normal hardware wear and tear, exposure to chemicals, misuse, abuse, alterations, acts beyond our control, damage to other property, product or component aging, and more.
*Note that other than inert gas loss due to seal failure, inert gas migration is a natural process and not a defect.
TRANSFER: The warranty is fully transferable at no additional cost, provided the products are registered within 30 days of the initial installation date, and the transfer is notified within 30 days of the closing date. Notifications can be submitted via mail or online.
GOVERNING LAW: EcoTech warranties are governed by the federal laws of Canada. Any claim regarding EcoTech vinyl windows must be reported within 30 days of discovering the alleged defect.
NON-WARRANTY REPAIR Costs related to repairs not covered by this Lifetime Warranty or occurring outside the warranty period are the responsibility of the owner. If warranty coverage is unclear, EcoTech may charge an inspection fee, which will be waived if the product is determined to have a defect covered by the Lifetime Warranty.
PRODUCT CHANGES EcoTech Windows & Doors reserves the right to discontinue or modify any product it manufactures. In cases where the original part or component is not available, EcoTech may replace it with a designated part or component of equal quality and price. In certain cases, a refund may be issued for the product cost, excluding installation, at the discretion of EcoTech.
CLAIM PROCEDURE: Any claim must be submitted via Service Request.
